How to Install
Your operating system may show a security warning the first time you open the app. This is normal for apps downloaded outside official app stores. Follow the steps below for your platform.
Right-click the app
Find the app in your Downloads folder. Right-click (or Control-click) the app icon, then select Open from the menu.
Do not double-click. You must right-click and choose Open.
Click "Done" on the warning
A dialog will appear saying Apple could not verify the app. Click Done (not "Move to Trash"). This registers the app with macOS.
Allow in System Settings
Open System Settings (Apple menu > System Settings), then go to Privacy & Security. Scroll down and you'll see a message about the blocked app. Click Open Anyway.
You may need to enter your Mac password to confirm.
Open the app again
Go back to the app and double-click it. A final confirmation will appear - click Open. The app will launch and you won't see these warnings again.
Why does this happen?
macOS blocks apps downloaded from the internet that aren't from the App Store. This is a standard security feature, not a problem with the app. Many independent developers distribute their apps this way. The app is safe to use.
Click "More info"
Windows SmartScreen may show a blue screen saying "Windows protected your PC". Click More info to reveal the run option.
Click "Run anyway"
After clicking "More info", a Run anyway button will appear. Click it and the app will open. You won't see this warning again.
Why does this happen?
Windows SmartScreen flags apps from independent developers that aren't signed with a Microsoft certificate. This is a standard security feature, not a problem with the app. The app is safe to use.
